The event was inaugurated by Praveer Ranjan, IPS, Director General, CISF .
DG CISF voluntarily donated blood, and senior officers, including Inspector General (IG) Shri Navajyoti Gogoi, IG Smt. Sonia Narang, and IG Shri Vinay Kajla also joined him.
The mega drive witnessed the prominent presence of Vijay Prakash, ADG (HQrs), Binita Thakur, ADG (Airports), and Dr. Shalini Tiwari, Director Medical, CISF. The AIIMS delegation coordinating the drive was led by Dr Poonam Kaushik, HOD, Blood Centre, Main Hospital, AIIMS, Delhi, and Anju AS, Medical Social Welfare Officer, along with their dedicated medical team.
Nearly 500 CISF personnel came forward to voluntarily donate blood, the PRO said.

In Delhi, the daily requirement for blood stands at approximately 1,400 units. With only about 960 units currently made available, the city faces a concerning deficit of about 440 units every day, the PRO added.
Addressing the gathering, the Director General, CISF, appreciated the voluntary participation of the force personnel.
He stated that as members of a uniformed force, CISF personnel must take the lead in initiatives that serve society, emphasising that such drives should continue in the future with even greater participation.
During the drive, a joint appeal was issued by the CISF and AIIMS urging the general public to step forward:
"Citizens are encouraged to help blood centers meet this critical requirement by donating blood themselves, motivating their friends and colleagues to do the same, and committing to becoming regular, voluntary blood donors."
As a gesture of appreciation, Praveer Ranjan presented a memento to Dr. Poonam Kaushik in recognition of the AIIMS team's invaluable support. In return, the visiting AIIMS doctors presented saplings to the Director General and the Additional Director General (HQrs) as a token of goodwill, symbolising life and the shared spirit of collaboration between the two institutions.
