Haryana signs Rs 66,870 crore investment MoUs ahead of 2027 Global Investors Summit: CM Saini

New Delhi [India], August 24 (ANI): Haryana has signed investment MoUs worth Rs 66,870 crore across industrial infrastructure, data centres, global capability centres (GCCs), renewable energy and other sectors as the state steps up preparations for the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit 2027, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Monday.
Saini was speaking during the first roadshow for the 2027 summit in Mumbai, where he said the state government had held discussions with investors and invited businesses to participate in the upcoming event. He said more than 20 company representatives participated in a roundtable discussion on investment opportunities in Haryana.
"After this, for investment in Haryana, we have also signed MOUs of Rs. 66,870 crore with various companies," Saini said.
Of the proposed investments, around Rs 20,000 crore is committed towards industrial infrastructure, while approximately Rs 10,000 crore is for data centres. Another Rs 8,200 crore has been earmarked through MoUs for GCCs, around Rs 7,000 crore for renewable energy and approximately Rs 5,000 crore for what the Chief Minister described as creating a positive environment in Haryana.
Saini said the state government's focus was on converting investment commitments into projects. "Our government believes not in file movement but in project movement," he said, underlining the administration's emphasis on execution of investment proposals.
The Chief Minister said investors were showing interest across a range of emerging sectors, including lithium batteries, solar, industrial development and construction. He added that companies had also expressed interest in telecommunications, electric vehicles and data centres.
The state has introduced industrial policies along with 10 sectoral policies, including policies focused on electric vehicles and data centres, Saini said. He also highlighted the Global City project as another major investment opportunity, saying several investors had shown interest in the development.
Addressing concerns around land availability for industrial projects, Saini said Haryana had decided to establish 10 new industrial model townships (IMTs). He said work was underway on land acquisition and development, while IMTs at Kharkhoda and Sohna were progressing.
"One of our IMTs is ready. We have all the land of that," Saini said, adding that the government was purchasing land to ensure that more investors could set up projects in the state.
The Chief Minister said the government was committed to building a developed Haryana through industrialisation and improving infrastructure, while seeking to strengthen investor confidence ahead of the 2027 summit. (ANI)
